• Robischon Gallery’s exhibition Intervals is open on February 8 - March 30th. Works from Nikki’s Solastalgia series are included.

• Nikki’s video pieces Arctic Stories; Time Tells and The Underground Sound Project- the Arctic are on view at Washington University as a part of Arctic Story Worlds exhibition curated by Olga Zaslavskaya and Vera Kuklina

• Nikki will be giving an artist talk called From the Ground Up at Pratt Institute on December 1st at 1pm. This will be followed by a soundwalk led by Nikki at 2pm on Pratt campus. This talk is part of the Civic Engagement Series organized by Mary Mattingly and Pratt Institute. Get tickets here.

• Residency at Toolik Field Station, August, Nikki spent time documenting and recording permafrost thaw

• Ziemia Tunnel; The Sound Of Soil opens at the United Nations’s Eleventh Plenary Assembly of the Global Soil Partnership, July 12th, it is curated by Giusy Emiliano. This piece is a collaboration of the work of Nikki Lindt and Zuzanna Kolodziej.

• The Cuyahoga Valley National Park Conservancy published the article ’The Art of Listening: An Interview with Nikki Lindt’

• June 22-July 15 Nikki has a piece in the group show ‘Volume Up’ curated by Monica King at The Painting Center, in NYC. This piece is a combination of painting and sound recording depicting permafrost thaw in the Arctic.

• Nikki will be speaking about her work on a panel with curator Jennifer McGregor, Stand4Ggallery owner Jeannine Bardo and fellow artist Christopher Lin hosted by The Brooklyn Waterfront Research Center. • Nikki will be sharing her work on a panel with curator Jennifer McGregor, gallery owner Jeannine Bardo and fellow artist Kate Dodd hosted by Patricia Lee Watts/Ecoartspace The group will be in conversation about the exhibition Bay Ridge Through an Ecological Lens and its relationship to the local community. • Bay Ridge Through an Ecological Lens opens April 15 and runs through June 17th in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. Nikki’s piece, The Underground Sound Project; In the Upper Bay in this group show can be found at both Stand4 Gallery and at the American Veteran’s Memorial Pier: Bay Ridge Avenue. This is an interdisciplinary project connecting visitors to the underwater ecosytem at American Veterans Memorial Pier in Owls Head Park. Interwoven in the audio piece are the community voices of a fisherman, a cop who became an environmental activist and professor, and a cold water swimmer.

• Nikki was invited by the University of New England to be this years annual Connection Lectures Guest Speaker ’The hope and despair of nature, through Nikki Lindt’s eyes — and ears’

• The Portland Press Herald published the article ’UNE Welcomes Renowned Artist Nikki Lindt as Annual Connections Lecture Speaker’

• Group show opens February 16th at The University of Vienna, Vienna, Austria. Work in the exhibition includes a series of work from the Arctic including videos and paintings. This exhibition is in conjunction with and part of the annual international Arctic Summit Week taking place in Vienna in 2023.

• Nikki will be visiting The University of New England as the yearly honoree guest representing work with a interdisciplinary approach. She will be presenting her work, speaking as a panelist and visiting classrooms from March 8-10th.

2022

• Group show opens November 17th - 45+, Robischon Gallery, Denver. Work in the exhibition includes a series from the Solastalgia series and videos from The Underground Sound Project.

• NYC Environmental Protection’s learning module based on The Underground Sound Project is now available. It is designed to be used by New York City (and New York State) public school and select college classrooms.

• Group exhibition opens November 19th - Field Station: Art-Science in the White Mountains, curated by Meghan Doherty at the Museum of the White Mountains, NH.

• Students and professors from Drew University came to Nikki’s studio for a studio visit as part of their class called 'New York Semester on Contemporary Art'.

• Watching the Seasons Change opens at the Museum of the White Mountains, NH on June 4th! Nikki has a series videos from The Underground Sound Project included in this show. Curated by Meghan Doherty.

• Nikki will be joining a 3 scientists and 3 artists team this summer in launching a 3 year study as a part of Access Abisko at the Abisko Scientific Research Station (The Swedish Polar Research Secretariat) in Arctic Sweden.

• Nikki received the Puffin Foundation Grant.

• The Underground Sound Project has opened at Prospect Park, NY. This public soundwalk will be open from May 2022 - May 2023.

• BENEATH OUR FEET was selected for the Mountainfilm Festival. • Extraction Art just released the Curatorial Statement for Fire and Ice an upcoming exhibition at the Cummings Art Gallery at Connecticut College. Nikki’s work is part of this exhibition which will run from September 1st to October 15th, 2021.

2020

• Nikki will be discussing her work Tumbling Forests of the North and ‘Beneath the Forest Floor’, a sound project at San Jose State University in November.

• Nikki will be discussing her work ‘Beneath the Forest Floor’, as part of the Tree Talk series at Ecoartspace on September 24th, 2020. Tickets available on the Ecoartspace website.

• The New Yorker just published The Search For New Words To Make Us Care About The Climate Crisis, which is an article about An Ecotopian Lexicon. Nikki collaborated on An Ecotopian Lexicon in the form of contributing art that was published as part of the book. Article written by Hua Hsu.

• In this video, Nikki discusses the surprising soundscape of the forest floor during her artist residency at the Hubbard Brook Experimental Forest this past August.

2019
